Preparation is not paperwork, it is half the treatment
Proper preparation before a bed bug treatment is essential to a successful outcome. That is the single most important sentence on this page, and it is the one most likely to be skimmed.
Bed bugs live in the seams and joins of the things people sleep on and near, and they move when disturbed. A room that has not been prepared gives the treatment nowhere to reach and gives the population somewhere to go. A room that has been prepared properly gives a technician access to the harbourage, which is where the work actually happens.
So the office hands out a prep list, and it is worth asking for it at the point you book rather than the night before. Work through it. If something on it is not possible in your room, say so on the phone rather than leaving it and hoping.

Encasement, and the ten-year warranty on it
Mattress encasement is a named part of this service, not an upsell tacked on afterwards. An encasement seals the mattress so the seams and piping stop being available as harbourage, and so anything already inside stays inside.

Salvaging property instead of skipping to the skip
The first instinct in a bed bug situation is to throw furniture away, and it is usually the wrong one. It is expensive, it is upsetting, and dragging infested items out through the rest of a house is a good way to spread the problem into rooms that did not have it.
Property salvaging is part of what Bentson does here. The starting assumption is that the bed, the frame and the room contents are treatable, and that disposal is a decision made after looking rather than before.
The same problem in a hotel room or a rental
Bed bug work is offered residentially and commercially, and the biology does not change between the two. What changes is the pressure: a room out of service costs money every night, and a business has other rooms either side of the one that reported.
